Control Options for Videoconferencing & Audio Only Conferencing

The FS-03 uses the RS-232 and Logic Input control options primarily for system setup and for convenient switching of stored room configurations. User adjustments like volume control during teleconferences should be performed through the video codec or the audio conferencing telephone interface.

Logic Inputs

Eight Logic Inputs are available on the rear panel 9-pin Sub-D (female) connector. Logic inputs allow remote control of the FS-03 via external circuits such as switches, contact-closures, active driver circuits, and/or ‘open-collector’ logic outputs. From the factory, Logic Inputs 1~8 have stored presets as discussed on Pages 15-17.

Logic Inputs have the following pin assignments

(right-to-left & top-to-bottom): (Pins 1~8) Logic Inputs 1~8; (Pin 9) Ground.

******A momentary closure of pins 1~8 to ground pin 9 will switch presets.

PIN # 1 = Logical Input 1 PIN # 6 = Logical Input 6

PIN # 2 = Logical Input 2 PIN # 7 = Logical Input 7

PIN # 3 = Logical Input 3 PIN # 8 = Logical Input 8

PIN # 4 = Logical Input 4 PIN # 9 = Ground

PIN # 5 = Logical Input 5
