Card Services Center

The Card Services Center issues the official university ID, parking permits, and keys. In

addition, they manage the KSU Debit Card Program. All services require an in-person visit to Room 207 in the Student Center. The Card Services Center hours of operation normally match those of Financial Aid, the Registrar and the Bursar, but you can contact the office at 7/499-3436 if you need service outside these times.

One-time services to students and employees are often free (e.g. IDs and parking per- mits). Replacement services are usually subject to fees. Please be prepared to present a valid government-issued document that includes a photo (e.g. driver's license or passport) for identity verification.

IDs: All enrolled students at Kennesaw State University are required to carry an official KSU Identification Card. The KSU ID card is honored across campus: for photo identifica- tion, in security applications, for access to events, activities and resources and for selected retail services. Card applicants must agree to an unobstructed facial photo. All students must present their KSU ID Card to University officials upon request.

KSU Debit Card: KSU has partnered with an Internet bank to distribute funds through the KSU Debit Card program. The KSU Debit Card program gives students the option to receive funds electronically either through direct deposit to a checking/debit account with our distribution bank or by ACH to a third-party bank. Students are not required to open an account with our partner bank but must use the card provided to set up their refund choice online.

Parking Permits: All vehicles on campus must display a valid KSU parking permit. Vehicles without a valid permit will be ticketed and/or booted. Most commuter parking areas are gated and require a hang tag to open the gates. New permits are issued annually to campus residential students. All other KSU parking permits are valid for the duration of your official status with KSU. It is the responsibility of all KSU employees and students to review and abide by the Parking Policies and Procedures available online at www.kennesaw. edu/parking. Information is also available at www.kennesaw.edu/idservices.

Opt-Out: If you are a student who does not drive to campus and has no need for a parking space, you may opt-out of the permit portion of the parking fee, which is $50. To opt-out, you will need to bring your hang tag or decal to Card Services and turn it in. If you do not yet have a hang tag you may still opt-out by visiting Card Services and asking to opt-out of the parking permit fee. Card Services will update your status and your refund for $50 will be processed. Opt-out will be required for each semester. If you have any questions about this program, please contact us at 678-797-2529 or parking@kennesaw.edu.

Consequences of parking without a permit: Please make sure that you do not park on campus if you do opt out of the parking fee. We will be tracking license plate data with our new citation system and there will be increased fines for anyone opting-out of parking and found to be parking anywhere on campus other than paid visitor lots.

Teacher Resource and Activity Center (TRAC)

TRAC is on the 2nd floor of Kennesaw Hall, Room 2005. TRAC is part of the Bagwell

College of Education but is open to all students. Students who need to complete creative projects may use TRAC for indexing, cutting shapes with our many die cuts, laminating, binding, and producing posters. A small charge for the materials that you use is the only cost of using TRAC. TRAC has 10 computers, a print/copy station, and books and DVDs avail- able for check-out. All you need is a student ID. To see all that TRAC has to offer, as well as price list, visit www.kennesaw.edu/education/trac.

Campus Dining

KSU Culinary Services is extremely proud to serve the campus community with fast, friendly

service and value options to make eating on campus palate-pleasing, healthy and convenient.

The Commons, KSU's all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, is conveniently located next to the Burruss Building just north of the Campus Green. This 50,000 square foot facility provides guests with a variety of dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The building features nine venues to choose from, as well as an external take-out venue for when you're on the go. Opened in August 2009 to serve the growing number of students living on campus, The Com- mons is the main dining hall for meal plan participants, and is also open to the public, faculty and staff of KSU. Non-students may either purchase a one-time entry to The Commons or a full meal plan, which provides a volume discount. Please visit www.kennesaw.edu/dining for complete details on meal plans and upgrade options, as well as retail pricing for dining at The Commons.

For other available dining options located around campus, visit Einstein Bros. Bagels (on the ground floor of the Burruss Building), Chick-fil-A Express, PJ's Coffee Café (in the Car- michael Student Center), Jazzman's Café (in the Social Sciences building), and our late-night location, "The Hoot" (in the University Village). In August 2011, a New York style deli will open in the Carmichael Student Center. The deli will offer high quality meats, cheeses, and freshly baked breads in a study friendly space.

All dining venues, including The Commons, accept "K-Cash" flex dollars, from either of two accounts: General Declining Balance or Food Restricted. The Food Restricted Account allows students to purchase food items with no added sales tax, a savings of 6%. Details about the K-Cash program and the Food Restricted plans can be found on the Culinary Services website, www.kennessaw.edu/dining. To manage your account, check your meal plan balance, buy additional meal plans, or add money to your KSU ID, visit the online K-Cash Manager at https://kcashmanager.kennesaw.edu.

Culinary Services also oversees the on-campus operations of the contracted catering vendors that serve KSU. A current list of all approved catering vendors can be found by visiting www. kennesaw.edu/dining, and following the link to Catering.
