The Department of Student Life is located on the second floor of the Student Center, Room
274. As part of the Division of Student Success, Student Life is responsible for all registered student organizations, student group web services and the club directory server (ksuclubs. com), student organization activity requests, the third floor activity area, and the Game Room.
The Student Life Department staff includes the following: Director, Associate Director for Student Media, Assistant Director for Fraternity & Sorority Life, Assistant Director for Student Involvement, Business Manager, Reservationist, an Assistant to the Reservationist, two Fraternity & Sorority Life Coordinators, a Student Media Marketing Coordinator, Student Involvement Coordinator, Office Manager, and a number of student assistants. Student Organizations
A wide variety of Student Organizations are available to all Kennesaw State University
students. In addition to regular meetings, student organizations sponsor many campus wide programs and provide opportunities for leadership development. With over 250 registered student organizations, it is easy to find one that is right for you! It is also easy to create a new student organization! Either way, limitless opportunity exists for you to get involved and make a difference during your time at KSU.

The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life
KSU is home to a large number of national and international fraternities and sororities
which are overseen by the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life. The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is located in Room 164 of the Carmichael Student Center. In addi- tion to social activities, fraternities and sororities hold many cultural, educational, and service

Student Government Association (SGA)
SGA is advised by the Assistant Director for Student Involvement, and works closely with
the Vice President for Student Success, advising him or her on student issues. The purpose of SGA is to broaden awareness, promote understanding, and engage students in issues impact- ing the KSU community. Primarily, SGA serves as the voice of the KSU student body and represents the interest of students on a campus wide, local, state, and federal level in accor- dance with KSU statutes, student codes of conduct, and the policies of the Board of Regents.
SGA is also charged with finding student representatives to serve on university and statewide planning committees, hosting student body town hall meetings, soliciting feedback from students in response to student concerns, and sponsoring various events and programs to inform students of current events at the local, state, and national levels.
All students are members of SGA upon enrollment at KSU, and are encouraged to apply for leadership positions at www.ksusga.com or attend standing meetings on Thursdays at 3:30 pm. Kennesaw Activities Board (KAB)
The Kennesaw Activities Board (KAB) serves as the primary student programming body
at Kennesaw State University. As such, KAB is responsible for coordinating a diverse pro- gramming calendar of free events meeting the social, recreational, cultural and intellectual requests of the KSU student body. KAB meetings are open to all and are held once a week on Thursdays at 12:30 pm (room location varies). Students are invited to attend meetings and events and become involved with the activities of the organization. Upon enrollment at Kennesaw State, students are members of the Kennesaw Activities Board. To become a KAB general voting member, a student must attend two meetings and hand out promotional items for two events. The KAB office is located on the third floor of the Student Center, Room 375. Student Media
Kennesaw State Student Media is the umbrella for 5 student media organizations: The
Sentinel, Talon, Share, OWL Radio, and the New Media Group. KSU Student Media is also responsible for the KSU Student Handbook & Daily Planner, and works closely with the KSU Student Media Board and the OWL Radio Executive Board. KSU Student Media is overseen by the Associate Director of Student Life for Student Media.
The Sentinel, the weekly newspaper, is published every Tuesday in print and online at ksusentinel.com. Talon is KSU's monthly student feature magazine. Share, the University's literary/art magazine, provides a publishing outlet for the creative talents of KSU students. The New Media Group (NMG) provides experience in multi-media activities relevant to the electronic media, including web pages and streaming, mediated presentation, and conver- gence issues. The NMG maintains the KSU Clubs directory (ksuclubs.com) and provides free websites and hosting to all KSU registered student groups. OWL Radio, the student-run streaming radio station, has been broadcasting live since July 2007 and has its studios in the Student Center, Room 171.
Whether DJ, writer, designer, or artist, KSU Student Media has a spot reserved for any student who wishes to be involved. Most positions are paid and internship credit is also available. Information and applications are at www.ksumedia.com.
Game Room
Located on the first floor of the Student Center, the Game Room is operated under the
direction of the Department of Student Life and is staffed by student assistants. The Room is equipped with billiard tables and ping pong tables. The Game Room also has a supply of board games (chess, checkers, etc.) available for use free of charge.
Guests must be accompanied at all times by a student, faculty, or staff member. Children may not be left unattended in the Game Room or in any other part of the Student Center at any time. Contact 7/423-6280 for more information.
