The Student Activities Budget Advisory Committee (SABAC) serves as an advisory group
to the Vice President for Student Success on matters concerning student activity funds and approves applications for forming new student organizations.
Membership of SABAC is as follows: four faculty/staff voting members, seven student members representing various university constituencies, and three nonvoting faculty/staff members. SABAC is chaired by a student member elected by the committee. Students who desire to serve on SABAC must fill out an interest application, which can be found online at www.kennesaw.edu/sses. Interest applications will be kept on file and the President of SGA will make appointments to the committee from these applications.
Authority for yearly allocations has been delegated by the President of the University to the Vice President for Student Success, who acts on the advice of SABAC. SABAC solicits budget requests from funded organizations and holds hearings to consider whether each organization should be given the amount requested. Hearings are open to the public. You are welcome to attend and make your opinion known about how your funds are being used. Con-
tact the office of the Vice President for Student Success at 7/423-6310 for more information.
