The aims:
To reflect trends in the sustainable development area in the recent years in order to enrich the competence on issues of sustainability among teachers active within the Baltic University Programme Network.
The activities:
Introductory lectures, discussion and practical training in implementing in university education such general concepts as: Sustainability; Indicators of SD, Material Flows; Agenda 21 and Implementing Sustainable Development,
The conference addresses of teachers from all countries participating in the BUP Network teaching or preparing themselves to teach the course:
“A Sustainable Baltic Region”. It is noted that some already took part in
a parallel conference, held in Turku, 8-12 Dec 1999.
