9. Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you are writing or the system you are designing. A computer programmer should assess whether the program of software he/she is designing would be of great social significance to others. Where it could be destructive, rather
than favorable to society, a computer program should not be designed.
10. Thou shalt always use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect for your fellow humans. Just like
any other field of interest, computing entails the maintenance of propriety and integrity. Each user should use computers in such away that the rights of others are not violated or infringed upon. This is what is meant by giving due respect to others.
Etiquette - means the forms required by good breeding or prescribed by authority to be required in social or official life. - the rules and customs for polite social or professional behavior.
Netiquette – is a contraction of the words Internet and etiquette. It refers to etiquette on the Internet or a set of rules for behaving properly online. Primarily involves any communication you may send out or receive from the net. Note Good netiquette involves respecting others' privacy and not doing anything online that will annoy or frustrate other people.

Stand up for yourself, but try not to hurt people's feelings. Electronic communication lacks the facial expression, gestures and tone of voice to convey your meaning. It’s easy to misinterpret meaning of words.
