The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a group of all-singing, all- strumming Ukulele players, using instruments bought with loose change, which believes that all genres of music are available for reinterpretation, as long as they are played on the Ukule.

Hailed by Time Magazine as, “Musical Theatre Gold,” Bullets Over Broadway is the hilarious musical comedy about the making of a Broadway show. Written by Woody Allen, Bullets Over Broadway is the story of a young playwright who, in desperate need of financial backing for his next show, accepts an offer he can’t refuse from a mobster looking to please his showgirl girlfriend.

You can almost smell the fresh-cut pine logs and the sweat of lumberjacks as you watch them jiving to a traditional folk soundtrack. The young circus troupe preform incredible feats of aerial acrobatics that are directly inspired by the natural raw materials of the forest and the equipment used on the farm.

AKS Gem Shows is a bead & jewelry show open to the public featuring jewelry, beads, beading supplies, pearls, findings, classes, and more. Show hours are 10 till 6 Fri & Sat, 10 till 4 Sunday.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum hosts OysterFest, a celebration of the Chesapeake’s oyster. The event features live music on two stages, boat rides, retriever demonstrations, oysters and other local fare, an oyster stew competition and cooking demonstrations, along with children’s activities, oyster demonstrations, harvesting displays and Chesapeake-related documentary screenings.

Hundreds of amateur and professional boat builders, model boat builders and enthusiasts come from all over the region to display their skiffs, kayaks, canoes and maritime models. The event features small craft both on and off the water, a demonstration pond, model races, engaging exhibits, kids’ activities, food and more.

When a shy groom practices his wedding vows in the inadvertent presence of a deceased young woman, she rises from the grave assuming he has married her. The Festiva, a production of the Asian American Resource Workshop, shows a provocative and entertaining program of independent cinema highlighting recent, significant works by and/or about Asian Americans and the Asian diaspora. The festival takes place October 22th to 25th in Boston at Emerson College’s Bright Family Screening Room in the Paramount Center; in Cambridge at the Brattle Theatre, and other various venues.
