IMPORTANT NOTE: in case that you will upload DB waypoints from USB stick verify that you transfer less that 200 waypoints each time as
in case that you transfer more, you (again) will encounter problem with a poop up message "NG
DATA EXIST, THE RESTORE PROCESSING IS REQUIRED. Check that ECDIS now working satisfactory and no any error appears.
6. Repeat above instructions in the other ECDIS (if shows same symptoms) After
successfully ECDIS repair, follow previous instructions in order to fix and the other ECDIS.
7. Restoring the network and synchronization Once the ECDIS
return to normal operation, the functionality of the network and the synchronization
should be restored, a. The hardware restoration Open both ECDIS unit covers
and locate LAN and LAN port ( if your vessel is connected to LAN only there is no problem. Once you locate the ports connect
the LAN cables from both ECDIS units in the positions that were before. b. Synchronization should be enabled . The charts menu should be accessed and then from submenu system the Sync Config“ should be selected. This by return will navigate the user to the submenu of sync configuration as indicated in the below picture. In this sub menu the unit appearing in Not synchronize Section must be selected and the Left arrow must be clicked in order the unit to be transferred to Grouped section. Once the procedure ends save and restart ECDIS unit for the changes to take effect.
When all completes confirm full functionality of the ECDIS unit and proper synchronization of chart data.
