j.Shipment Logistics

Cisco provides customers with the ability to specify shipment logistics information.

Cisco can specify their default routing preferences as part of the CCW workspace profile.

If shipment logistics are not provided in the order or CCW workspace profile, Cisco will ship the order with “Cisco Routed” and “Standard” shipping service.

Shipping is not applicable to service products, so shipping logistic information is not required for services.

Partners can specify either individual shipment terms values in 3A4 or specify values related to the Cisco Shipment Routing Configuration Tool.

i. Shipment Terms Values in 3A4

If the partner submits the data at the ProductLineItem level, Cisco will set the values for this line only. Line level data takes precedence over the header (Purchase Order) level data. The cardinality values in the tables that follow indicate if the elements are required or optional. Delivery options - are order attributes that provide more detailed shipping info to Logistics/MFG regarding how the partner/customer wants their order to be handled. The following delivery options can be sent (as name value pairs)

  1. Authorized Receiving Party

  2. Contact prior to delivery

  3. Carrier will call

  4. Specific delivery time

  5. Inside delivery required

  6. Preshipment Inspection Required

  7. Remove packaging

  8. Special transport required

If “Ship as soon as possible” is requested, Cisco may ship before requested ship date. Quantity for line remains same.

If “Ship partial – balance back order” is requested, Cisco may ship a partial order. Results in multiple ship sets.
If “Ship per schedule” is requested, Cisco ships according to quantity and scheduled ship date indicated on order line.
To set both Ship Early and Ship Partial to ‘Yes’, send both ‘Ship as soon as possible’ and ‘Ship partial - balance back order’.
For entering multiple values for above combination, partners should send GlobalSpecialFulfillmentRequestCode in individual nodes in a 3A4 as shown in example that follows:
Ship Partial - Balance Back Order Ship As Soon As Possible
Cisco can support special fulfillment requests only at the order level. Any value supplied at line level is ignored.
