Professional Ethics – defines as the right application of the accepted standards of right and wrong to the conduct of professional men in the business relationship peculiar to their professional employment.

- An enumeration of principles of right and wrong as they apply to every professional problems or issues.
- Concerns one’s conduct of behavior and practice when carrying out professional work that includes consulting, researching, teaching, and writing. The institutionalization of Code of Conduct and Codes of Practices are common with many professional bodies for their members to observe. Note No two codes of ethics are identical. They vary by cultural group, by profession, and by discipline. Objective To protect the clientele particularly the public from the abusive and oppressive members of the profession. Example Attitudes towards software piracy vary from strong opposition to strong support – attitudes that are supportable within a particular culture.

They must be responsible for the possible consequences of failure of the system. Code of Ethics – concerned with a range of issues including academic honesty, adherence to confidentiality agreements, data privacy, handling of human subjects, impartiality in data analysis and professional consulting, professional accountability, resolution of conflicts of interest, and software piracy.

 Improve quality and consistency
