MDA determines whether solution: • Can be fielded within 2 years, does not require substantial development effort, is based on proven and available technologies, and can be acquired under fixed-price contracts • Production & Deployment – PM summarizes development activities and plans for delivery and sustainment, post-fielding assessments, and training of operator and maintenance personnel. Requires MDA approval. • Operations and Support – IAW plan approved by MDA. Disposition Analysis done NLT 1-year after fielding. Disposition official recommends either: • Termination (Demilitarization or Disposal), Sustainment for a Current Contingency, or Transition to a Program of Record 56
