Closing Ceremony
The SJ GAMTTEP closing ceremony was the culmination of five weeks fun, interactive learning for the students. The students’ parents were invited to attend, and a large percentage came out to support their kids and see all that they had accomplished. During the closing ceremony, the students presented their research projects on posters to the other students and faculty and as well as the parents.
Two guest speakers were invited to address the students at the closing ceremony. Kimbrali L. Davis, Principal Engineer, Chemical Testing Section, NJDOT, and Samuel L. Donelson, P.E., Director of Engineering and Operations, South Jersey Transportation Authority, both presented exceptional presentations that were very motivation for young, aspiring engineers. Following the presentations, a catered lunch was served. The students then re-entered the auditorium for final closing words and their departing gifts. Each student was presented with a certificate acknowledging their completion of the SJ GAMTTEP Program curriculum, as well as a t-shirt, keychain, and a CD containing pictures taken over the course of the program.
