Water management: The immunity level of fries in their first few weeks is very low, so they need to be handled with great care and this has to do with their environment (water they live in). Once it gets polluted by their waste and excess feeds, they are exposed to change and the result is high mortality that is difficult to control. Excess feed on the water should be removed and water should be changed once in 3 – 4 days, depending on the changes in temperature. At 3 weeks old, mortality rate of fries usually increases and to avoid it, recommended doses of anti-bacterial/fungus drugs should be added to the water repeatedly for three weeks (as the need arises)
