The Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging’s Adult Day Program is a PASSPORT—certified program designed to meet the needs of cognitively and functionally impaired older adults and to provide respite for caregivers. The Adult Day Program consists of structured, comprehensive, and continually supervised therapeutic and social activities that emphasize client choice and address the individualized needs of the persons served. Bridgeway Home currently has two group home locations capable of providing Emergency
Placement Services programming for children, aged 10-17. The first location at 3432 Shellhart Road
in Norton, Ohio is licensed for 10 beds. The second location, the Sharon Woods facility, is located
at 750 S. Medina Line Road in Wadsworth, Ohio and is licensed for an additional 10 beds. Bridgeway Home is a nonsecure, family based group home with live in house parents. Twenty-four hour awake supervision is provided.
Bridgeway Home is a large country home located on three acres of woods, built in 1992. Bridgeway
is located in the Norton area of Summit County. The home has six bedrooms, four bathrooms,
family room, dining room, living room, kitchen, office, finished recreation room in the basement
and an attached two car garage. Each resident has his own bed, dresser and closet space. All
residents are safely monitored with client records maintained in a locked filing cabinet located
in the safety of the staff office.
The Sharon Woods Facility resides on two acres of land and has been licensed since January 2000.
It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is conveniently located in Sharon Township, Medina
County, with jurisdiction in the Highland School District.

Cambridge Behavioral Hospital is a 66 Bed Acute Inpatient Hospital serving adults diagnosed with mental health and substance abuse disorders, licensed by ODMH and certified by The Joint Commission. Cambridge Behavioral Hospital is owned by a larger corporation based out of Florida, called Oglethorpe. Oglethorpe owns many hospitals around the United States with Cambridge being one of the premier hospitals. We serve adults in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting, who have a primary diagnosis of mental health; and often a secondary diagnosis of substance abuse.
A student on our team would be taught to adequately and thoroughly complete bio psychosocial assessments; engage in the treatment planning process; facilitate individual, group and family therapy; and be an active member of our multidisciplinary treatment team. Evening & Weekend hours are available after a couple of weeks of shadowing and working with day team.

Graduate internships are offered to select second year students interested in careers in health care that successfully complete the Social Work Department screening process. The experience provides an introduction to medical social work, biopsychosocial interviewing, application of clinical skills and interventions, participation in multidisciplinary medical teams, collaboration with community systems and documentation of patient care plans. Students are mentored by an experienced Master’s prepared social worker. Students may have experiences in inpatient, outpatient or critical care units or the Emergency Department. Hospital social workers assist patients and families coping with acute, chronic and terminal illness, complex family dynamics, resource barriers, child abuse and neglect, medical noncompliance and adaptation to traumatic injury. Students must provide evidence of liability insurance from the University, refrain from the use of tobacco products and submit evidence of required immunizations.

Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC) supports survivors of sexual violence, promotes healing and prevention and creates social change throughout Northeast Ohio.
In 2013, nearly 18,000 people, one-third of them youth, have found support by participating in CRCC's therapy, advocacy and education programs.
It is estimated that one out of six women and one out of 33 men are survivors of sexual violence. CRCC helps survivors recover and grow strong. Our vision is the elimination of sexual violence. But, as long as this crime, persists, we will continue to serve survivors and equip the community with vital tools to help address sexual violence.

The Clubhouse Model is a unique opportunity to learn about and work with individuals who have sustained a brain injury.
Community Clubhouse is a program of The Community Health Center, a non-profit organization in the community. We serve individuals with various types of brain injury. Our mission is to strengthen individuals and families affected by brain injury by providing a community base of direct support to decrease isolation and increase personal growth, independence and self-esteem. We accomplish this through a comprehensive day program of work related activities, community outings, social activities and assistance with re-learning social skills.
