The general objective of the study is to assess the issues related to budget allocation and utilization of Dawuro Zone FEDD.

1.5 Significance of the Study
Findings of this research have meaningful significance to the Dawuro zone finance and economy and the budget holding sectors at large in many ways. Primarily, the information generated from the research can serve as a benchmark data to understand the budget allocation trend in recurrent and capital Budget of the Dawuro zone over the last five years. Secondly, examination of the budget utilization efficiency of each sector provides valuable information on the position of each sector and the Dawuro zone in budget utilization. This can be a vital input for developing and implementing planned budgeting in the Dawuro zone. Thirdly identifying the critical challenge and problems affecting the budget utilization of the Dawuro zone is an important input to design appropriate solution in each stage of the budget allocation and utilization process of the Dawuro zone. Such remedy actions involves improving the financial management process, human resource capacity, accountability, and internal modification of financial processes within the broader


16 legal frameworks of the Dawuro zone. The blend of all this can be help the budget holding sectors achieve efficient budget allocation and utilization that will not only benefit the sector but also serve as a model to the sector in the Dawuro zone. The purpose of this study was thus to produce valuable information and critical insights and implement entries for budget allocation, utilization and management of government budget resources. In doing so it intends to advance the institutional development of the Dawuro zone and the regions wider development.
