Oliver know the Brantley and Beville families in Chatham before they moved to Hamilton Co. Florida and adjacent Lowndes County, Georgia? Did they migrate together? Or, did the Oliver, Brantley and Beville connection happen after James Wm. Oliver moved back to Chatham County, Georgia and perhaps looked up relatives of the Brantley and Bevill families he met in Florida. Maybe he was a Civil War casualty? There is an S.H. Oliver on the 5th Georgia Cavalry, 2nd Bat., Co “A”, the “Georgia Hussars”,128 formed out of Chatham County men.
