Based on area appraisal, expressed need of the local community and identification of livelihood generation and women empowerment issues in rural Bihar, AKRSP(I) has designed and rolled out appropriate interventions to focus on Goat Rearing liked with Self Help Groups.

  Responsible for achieving the programme targets at block level

  Managing a multi-disciplinary team of more than 10 employees working on women empowerment through institution building and goat rearing

  Monitoring the results of programme

  Planning and expenditure of programme budget

  Ensuring administrative functions

  Linkages and liaison with government departments, banks and market

  Any other work assigned by project team leader

  Post-graduation in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Management, Rural Development or related fields.

  Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working with women’s institutions and/or farmer producers’ organizations. Basic knowledge of livestock sector is desirable.
