Here is your Friday AI roundup. Venkatesan M writes some pretty controversial things in his post today, starting with the title. He quotes Marvin Minsky co-founder of the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, "Artificial intelligence has been brain-dead since the 1970s." He goes through a bit of history and education. I found it to be a great piece. Walter Farah writes about state supported AI work in China. I found his post both interesting and scary. Third up we have a fascinating post on differences between "AI" and "augmented intelligence." According to Bob Rogers, "the difference is in how we apply the technology."
