A true story of a man that was a very interesting double agent, but to this day is not recognized as an ally to the Germans or to the British because he double-crossed both of them regularly. It did explain how Intelligence agencies were just becoming a thing during World War II and people were not very familiar with opposing countries Secret Service agencies.
