Language Foundations Graduates of Language Foundations with a teaching certificate are trained and qualified to treat children within the classroom who show mild signs of written-language learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, developmental reading disorder and other related learning problems. Students with severe disability will be referred to Certified Academic Therapists. All interns applying for ASDEC Certification at the Teaching level must fulfill the following requirements:

Demonstrate growth in automaticity in all structured procedures as detailed in the Language Foundations curriculum and have the competencies, as evidenced in written evaluations, to practice independently as a Teaching Specialist.
