Authority to Licence Programme

Can you warrant that you have the full and absolute right to authorise the use of the Programme, and have obtained all necessary consents from all contributors, performers, copyright owners, etc?




Contractual information

The BBC’s standard Acquisition Agreement is currently 9 transmission days over a 3 year period. 

If your programme is acquired by BBC Radio 4 Extra payment will be released in two instalments.  The first 50% when the contract is issued and the second 50% when all paperwork and audio has been received satisfactorily.

Editorial and Compliance

Are you aware that the BBC may at its cost and discretion edit, adapt and make such changes and deletions in respect of the Programme, as may be required in pursuance of its programme policy governing the suitability of material contained therein and/or the demands of accurate timing or presentation.    If you are not willing for this to happen or you believe the programmes will not meet the BBC’s Editorial Standards please do not offer the programmes.




Commercial Release

You will be asked for details of any current or planned Commercial Release of the material.
