BioAquatic Exploration Classes
BADA
Class Information
©Upledger Institute, Inc.
Due to the small number of participants and highly interactive nature of the class, your attendance at all group discussions and hands-on practice sessions is crucial to the outcome of the program. Because your involvement is so important, if you become unable to attend the course within 30 days of the start of the class, your registration will be subject to a $300 non-refundable, non-transferable penalty. Attendance at this seminar indicates your acceptance of our current policies, procedures and code of ethics.
Also, a majority of BioAquatic Exploration is conducted in the water. Therefore, you are expected to be comfortable in waist-to-shoulder deep water, to be able to practice boat safety, and take responsibility for your own well-being while on the boat and in the water. If you have a medical condition, such as a history of stroke, please contact us prior to your arrival. Before going in the water, you will be required to sign a liability waiver.
Cell Phone Service:
Cell phones may not work from the Bahamas. We encourage you to check with your cell provider before your trip about pricing plans they may offer for service in the Bahamas. Unless pre-arranged, you may pay very inflated pricing for cell service in the Bahamas. Please inform family and friends so that they won't worry if they don't hear from you. Long distance collect calls can be made from the hotel, but require the use of a quarter and can be very expensive.
Travel and Transportation:
As of December 31, 2006, US citizens are required to bring a passport for entry into the Bahamas. Please check with your airline for any additional identification that customs may require. If you are not a US citizen, a visa may be required. Please contact your travel agent or visit www.bahamas.com to view entry requirements.
Please plan to arrive at least the day before the class begins and fly out no earlier than the day after it ends (combining with a vacation could work out nicely!). Previous participants say that allowing time for relaxing and processing after the program is extremely beneficial.
When you hail a taxi, it is advisable to establish the fare before you embark. Public bus fare is currently $1.25 to almost anywhere except the airport. Small bills will be required for most trips, (airport, bus, etc). Credit cards are not widely accepted, and cash may be difficult to find (there are US cash machines at the Radisson Hotel).
Weather conditions, accessibility to dolphins and unforeseeable circumstances sometimes make it necessary to cancel or postpone workshops. In these cases, we make every effort to accommodate participants' schedules by transferring them to another scheduled program. If this isn't possible, tuition is refunded in full; we are not liable, however, for travel or other associated expenses.

General Schedule:
You will meet at 9:00 a.m. at The Ocean Reef Yacht Club Meeting room – suite 413. There will be a group meeting until about 10:30 a.m., when you will take a short ride to The Dolphin Experience, located in the Underwater Exploration Society (UNEXSO) offices in Port Lucaya. From the office you will be taken by UNEXSO boat to a lagoon for the Dolphin Swim.
After the Dolphin Swim, you are free to have lunch on your own, and shop if needed. The UNEXSO office is located at the marketplace at Port Lucaya, so shops and restaurants are handy. The afternoons will be spent working in the water either at the hotel pool or a nearby beach, as indicated by sea and weather conditions.
Please note that the pace in the Bahamas is slow, so please allow adequate time for meals, shopping, hair-braiding, transportation, etc. Because of the innovative nature of this class, everything is subject to change.
