SAVOY QUARTET

This unit played with great success in the ballroom of the Savoy Hotel, London, from 1915 to 1920. In that period, it recorded a large number of sides for HMV, some being the first British recordings of accepted jazz standards. These are shown below as being of some historical interest, especially as the drum work is quite advanced for its time.
