Features

Brightspace Assignment Grader for Android

Brightspace Assignment Grader - Rubric improvements | Updated

This feature includes the following usability improvements to the rubrics grading experience from the Evaluate panel for instructors using the Brightspace Assignment Grader for Android app:

The rubric interface has been updated so that when instructors open a rubric to add their feedback, their experience is smoother and more intuitive.

A +Feedback option has been added, which instructors can tap to add text feedback associated with a specific rubric criterion.

The Override Score field is no longer in the modal window. Instead, the points field in the Score column is editable for each rubric criterion.

Previously, the number of graded learners was not updated when you returned from the learner list view to the assignment submission folder list view.

Now, the number of graded learners is recalculated upon returning to the assignment submission folder list view and the correct value displays.

Found in Brightspace Assignment Grader 1.5.

To reproduce this fix:

1.In Brightspace Assignment Grader, open an assignment submission folder with at least 2 ungraded learners' submissions in it.

2.Grade the submissions of at least 2 learners.

3.Return to the assignment submission folder list view and observe that the number of graded learners was recalculated and is correct.

Previously, on the Brightspace Assignment Grader login screen in the email and password fields, there was no way to fully clear the fields in one tap after entering text in them.

The email and password fields on the login screen now contain an 'x' button that you can tap to clear the existing text.

Found in Brightspace Assignment Grader 1.0.

Previously, if you entered a URL for an instance of Brightspace Learning Environment but did not select the Use https to connect with the strongest possible security configurations check box, course images did not download.

Now, when you enter a URL for an instance of Brightspace Learning Environment and don't select the Use https to connect with the strongest possible security configurations check box, course images still download.

Found in Brightspace Assignment Grader 1.0.

Previously, when you viewed an analytic rubric, the rubric was larger than the size of the screen and the Cancel, Save, and Save and Record buttons were not visible.

Now, when you view an analytic rubric in landscape or portrait mode, the rubric fits the size of the screen and all buttons are visible.

Found in Brightspace Assignment Grader 1.6.

To reproduce this fix:

  1. Access Brightspace Assignment Grader and set the Android device to landscape mode.

4.Open an analytic rubric for a submission and observe that the rubric fits in the screen and all buttons are visible.

5.Rotate the device to portrait mode and observe that the rubric fits in the screen and all buttons are visible.
