has various departments, which include outpatient department,
inpatient wards, emergency department, pharmacy and billing. The patient information is stored
in paper based medical records, which makes the information retrieval time taking. It also leads to more patient waiting time in front of the outpatient departments. Another problem faced by the pharmacy unit in drug inventory management and drug dispensing when it is prescribed in paper format. The doctors also face some issues in getting the laboratory and radiology reports of the patients on time. Dr. Ahmed understands that the solution to these problems is a good and useful hospital information system, but he does not have an allocated budget for this purpose. He then searched for such systems to estimate his funding requirement and found two software solutions one is a cloud-based solution and the other is client-server based. He managed to pull some resources from here and there and accumulated some funds. They are not enough as quoted
