Includes workshops, conferences, and colloquia; venues must be open to the MIT community.

Leading Outward
Based on the "leading upward" model, these programs train participants in diversity and inclusion leadership skills for later dissemination to the MIT community; ideally involve faculty and staff.
Example: SHPE National Institute for Leadership Advancement Conference
Expanding Outlooks (Social/Political/Cultural)
Includes recruitment programs, new forums, and arts‐oriented projects
Example: Black Week
