6. Social Work
(a) As an Army Officer’s Wife. Social work and welfare activities for the families of troops is inherent responsibility of an army officer’s wife. In the past 14 years of marriage, following welfare activities have been a constant commitment :-
(i) Social development of soldier’s families and children.
(ii) Imparting training on vocational subjects.
(iii) Workshops on self confidence, self reliance, career options and personality development.
Workshops on family adjustments and Social Counseling.
(v) Regular visits to various hospitals to look up ailing families.
(b) As UN Volunteer. I did free online-projects for African Countries involving setting up of schools, their training curriculum and performance appraisal. I used to conduct online counseling.
(c) As Life Member of Indian Red Cross Society
(i) I taught children how to return to normalcy after a disaster.
During tsunami, collected clothes and food articles (with the help of
children) and sent them to Tamil Nadu.
Worked in Barmer for spreading awareness to save and look after the Girl Child.
Went to Mumbai slums for the “Each One Teach One”
programme.
(d) As a Snehalaya Volunteer. Actively engaged in caring for the children of sex workers and orphans in Snehalaya, Ahmednagar to include their psychological, education and material needs.
7. Present Occupation. As an entrepreneur, I run an e-commence portal with a team of more than 2000 team members across many nations. Worked for some time as Co-ordinator at Mount litera school.
