(I) RESEARCH
(i) In Progress:
(a) “Progress of Baptist Work in The Gambia”. This research is designed to examine the origin and growth of the Baptist denomination in The Gambia from 1979 to date, with a view to seeing not only the religious impact it has made on a predominantly Muslim Community but also the socio-political and economic influences it has had on the Gambian society.
(b) “The Nigerian Baptist Convention, 1914-2014: A Centenary History” This is an in-depth analysis of a century of operation of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, the commonwealth organization of all Nigerian Baptists in Nigeria, and its impact on the growth and development of the mission in the country.
(c) NIGERIA: From Amalgamation to the Search for National Integration, 1914-2014. It is a comprehensive history of Nigeria, through changing scenes, from the pre-colonial through the colonial and colonial periods. The searchlight is on the ‘forceful’ amalgamation of 1914, and the challenges of national integration up to the centenary year in 2014.
