Driving Regulations

Students having a driver’s license may drive to school with the understanding that this is a privilege to be handled responsibly. Failure to abide by the regulations may result in the revoking of your driving privileges.

1. 
   Students must complete a Student Driving Permit form. A copy of a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration must be provided and kept on file in the Main Office. It is the responsibility of the parent to provide updated information to the Main Office when these documents are renewed.
   
2. 
   Students are to park in designated parking spots. Students should not park in the surrounding neighborhoods.
   
3. 
   A student who has had his or her driving privilege revoked may not drive his or her car to the school grounds or any surrounding business or neighborhood. If a student is found to have driven to school while his or her driving privilege has been revoked, they will face additional disciplinary action from the administration.
   
4. 
   Students may only transport other students to and from school if specific, prior written permission has been provided to the office. The student driver must also provide written permission from a parent or legal guardian to drive specific students. Students are also expected to obey the limitations of the state issued driving license in their possession.
   
5. 
   Students should obey the speed limit and should not incur penalties or notices of poor driving on or off the school grounds. This may result in having their driving privileges revoked at school. Students are expected to abide by the guidelines in the Upper School Student Handbook.
