As the Manager of Transportation Operations. was responsible for providing leadership for all transportation operations functions at a U.S. Naval research test and development organization in a foreign country. The vehicles included more then 400 pieces of tired and tracked equipment, and a permanent staff level of approximately 120 U.S. and Bahamian tradesman. Within these responsibilities the following activities were carried out: Working in close harmony with all elements of the facility construction and maintenance arms, manage the execution of all heavy equipment operations requirements including department wide staffing; responsible for training, testing and licensing of all facility wide weight and material handling equipment operators (including afloat crane operators) ; responsible for inspection and certification of weight handling and material handling equipment land and afloat; manage inventory of rolling stock and CESE registration; accomplished all heavy and light vehicle allowance review according to Congressional guidelines: prepare vehicle requirement allocations and vehicle budget justifications; prepare transportation cost reporting, and staffing analysis positions; MIS responsibilities and familiarity include CAMEO, PC TRANSPORT, WINDOWS, WORD PERFECT, POWER POINT , CHIEF ADVANTAGE, OUATTRO PRO and EXCELL.
