Grammy-nominated duo Galantis has released a mesmerizing new song ‘Hunter,’ out today (buy/stream) via Big Beat Records. Another display of their signature high-level production style, ‘Hunter’ flaunts melodic synths and crisp percussion, underpinning a smooth female vocal. Galantis’ latest serving follows an incredible season which saw the duo headlining Ultra Music Festival, playing two critically acclaimed headline sets at Coachella, and two sold-out nights at New York’s historic Hammerstein Ballroom. In March, Galantis sold 10k tickets in a single evening between a sold out show at San Francisco’s iconic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (their biggest headline show to date), and a late night set at Mezzanine. ‘Hunter’ arrives off the heels of Galantis’ recently released “Rich Boy” (buy/stream). The track features infectious vocals from an eight-year-old girl, and was lauded by Billboard as yet “another synth-drenched jam” from the duo. Galantis was nominated this year for three P3 Gold Awards in their native Sweden, winning “Best Dance Act.” Additionally, the duo won “Producer of the Year” at this year’s SKAP Awards, and “No Money” was nominated for “Song of the Year” at the 2017 Swedish Grammis Awards. Galantis is still riding high on the success of their other recent single releases, including “Love On Me” which has eclipsed 80 million streams on Spotify and last year’s platinum-selling smash hit ‘No Money’, which is Galantis’ biggest track to date. More on Galantis: Galantis is the collaborative production duo of Christian Karlsson (aka Bloodshy, one-third of Miike Snow) and Linus Eklöw (aka Style of Eye). Together, the duo has set a new standard for songwriting in dance music. Their debut album, Pharmacy (Big Beat/Atlantic Records) reached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance album chart on the strength of hit singles “Peanut Butter Jelly” and “Runaway (U & I),” the latter of which is RIAA certified gold in 7 countries and earned GRAMMY nominations for “Best Dance Recording” and “Best Remixed Recording” via the Kaskade Remix. More recently, the platinum-selling track “No Money” became their biggest song to date – garnering 600 million streams globally, 288 million YouTube views, and reaching the Top 10 on iTunes in 43 countries! The story of Galantis started in 2009. Working as Bloodshy, Karlsson’s songwriting collaborations included Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry and Britney Spears (whose “Toxic” earned a GRAMMY award for Best Dance Recording). After reaching out to Eklöw (who produced Icona Pop’s hit single “I Love It” as Style of Eye) to remix Miike Snow’s “Animal,” the two continued to collaborate until ultimately Galantis was born. Together, they have performed at world-renowned events such as Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella, Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo, and Creamfields.
