Hyundai Motor’s largest UK dealership opens in Glasgow
High Wycombe, 20 July 2016 - The largest Hyundai dealership in the UK is now open for business near the centre of Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow. The new showroom and service centre, which is operated by the Arnold Clark group, covers a combined area of 857sqm and is located in the bustling East End – known as the ‘creative quarter’ of the city. The new showroom displays more than 20 of the latest cars from the Hyundai range over three levels. There are also more than 150 used cars on display and over 50 trained staff on site, across the sales, service and parts functions. The dealership boasts seven workshop bays including a dedicated MOT bay plus a specialist wheel alignment bay. Arnold Clark first opened a Hyundai franchise in Glasgow in 2002, followed by a second location in the city in 2012. Sales continued to grow, and in 2015 more than 1,100 Hyundai vehicles were registered across both sites. At this point, a decision was made to consolidate the two locations into a brand new flagship ‘super dealership’ with an investment of £4 million.
