THE WESTIN PEACHTREE PLAZA HIRES ANTHONY LOMBARDI AS
DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING
ATLANTA (December 7, 2009) – The Westin Peachtree Plaza hired Anthony Lombardi as director of sales and marketing. Lombardi’s extensive resume and impressive list of qualifications will greatly benefit the Westin Peachtree Plaza as the hotel undergoes its $22 million window renovation.
Lombardi brings over 10 years of experience with Starwood Hotels and Resorts and six years prior to that with Interstate Hotels, Inc. to his role as director of sales and marketing. He was most recently director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ Northeast, Eastern Canada and Southern Regions, providing direction and support to 35 hotels. As a proven sales management professional, Lombardi’s role complements the Westin Peachtree Plaza’s track record of exceptional client service and success.
Designed by John Portman in 1976, the Westin Peachtree Plaza is a 73-story tower, topped by the tri-level, revolving Sun Dial Restaurant Bar & View. At 723 feet, The Westin Peachtree Plaza was Atlanta's tallest building until 1987, when it was surpassed by One Atlantic Center. Today, The Westin Peachtree Plaza is the fifth tallest building in Atlanta and remains the tallest hotel in the Western Hemisphere.
