News Release Incident: Drug/Weapons Arrest

On Friday December 28, 2012 at approximately 11:25 pm, The Egg Harbor Township Police Department assisted the Hamilton Township Police Department with the service of a Domestic Violence Search Warrant to seize weapons at a residence on Toledo Ave, in the West Atlantic City section of the township. Egg Harbor Township Officers were assisted by members of the Atlantic County SWAT team. During the search numerous handguns, assault weapons, high capacity magazines and a large quantity of illicit bath salts were located and seized.
Arrested was William Mong, 38 years of age from Mays Landing, and Justin Reitmeyer, 22yeras of age from Egg Harbor Township. Mong was charged with unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of illicit bath salts and possession with intent to distribute illicit bath salts. Reitmeyer was charged with possession of bath salts and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set on these charges by Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer at $50,000 cash for Mong and $5000/10% for Reitmeyer. Both posted bail and were released pending court
Investigating this incident were Sgt. Gary Rzemyk, Officer Tim Canale, Officer Jonathan Nieves and Officer John Dowd of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
