Environmental Awareness is a course that illustrates, through a hands on teaching style, how the concepts of traditional science courses fit into an outdoor sporting lifestyle. These concepts of biology, geology, meteorology and ecology will be learned in laboratories, lectures, field experiences and assignments. My philosophy towards learning is you get out of a class whatever you put in to it. I have sat through classes in college and high school that I have learned a lot in and have found great value in, while other people in the class considered it a waste of time and did not learn anything. I think the difference is not that we were in different aspects of reality, but that we put in different levels of effort. I was motivated to learn and they were not. Only you can motivate yourself, however, if I can help in any way let me know.
