To the Navesink School Community:
First and foremost, we truly hope that you and your family are safe following the recent storm. During this time of transition, one important item that we are here to assist you with is your child’s education. As we have previously discussed our intention is for your child to remain as part of the Navesink School. In order to facilitate this we must ask that the following process be followed.
Displaced families temporarily residing outside of the Middletown Township School District:
You must register your child in the district where you are currently residing as a result of the storm.
That residential district will facilitate the paperwork required in this situation, and then will contact the Middletown Township School District, even if you are only residing outside our district temporarily.
Arrangements will then be made to provide transportation for your child/children from where they are temporarily residing to the Navesink School.
Displaced families temporarily residing within the Middletown Township School District:
If you have been displaced and are in a temporary residence, whether you are residing in the Navesink School sending area or in another section of Middletown, you must notify Navesink School immediately.
Our office will facilitate the minimal paperwork required for your child to receive services such as free lunch and transportation.
Please be aware that your child will be permitted to remain at Navesink School during you time of transition.
If you have any questions or concerns we are here to answer them, work with you, and support you and your children as we continue to move forward, not just as a school, but as the Navesink Community. Please do not hesitate to contact the building at (732) 291–0289 or e-mail me directly at altobelloj@middletownk12.org.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
