The Atlantic City Police Department was notified by medical staff at the hospital of suspicious injuries sustained to two twin infant girls that were just brought in to the hospital. The infants were reported to be 11 weeks old and both had sustained unexplained severe injuries. One infant was immediately flown from the AtlantiCare Regional Hospital to Cooper Hospital in Camden for life threatening injuries that included a traumatic head injury, fractured arm and multiple bruises and abrasions. The other infant was also transported to Cooper Hospital but was able to be transported via ambulance with only moderate injuries that included multiple bruises, abrasions and an unspecified neck injury.
