  1. Why choose Android not Iphone?

CONCLUSION:

(1) We could field test android application, but for iphone we must pay 99$ to get license so we can install application on external device

(2) We will have better support with Android because as many students have projects with Android

(3) Iphone apps are only possible to develop on mac based computers

  1. Tools which are problematic

CONCLUSION:

Ahmed has concern about the database mySql. He has experience in sql and oracle with erwin data modeler and he thinks erwin 7.0 does not support mySql. Bilal says erwin 5.0 is used for mysql.

  1. What to clarify from client?

CONCLUSION:

Bilal has registered the project, and he shares the information with us. Stephen Fickas is assigned to us as a client and as an instructor.

Thomas suggests: (1) Keep in mind that SCORE project job is to answer to your question regarding the requirements, so do not hesitate to ask. (2) He is the only person that can state if it is needed or not as he represents the customer.

Here is the list of questions we raised in meeting:

  1. If we make mobile application only for android only it would be very limited. So we think about adding observer to web page, so that any mobile device with internet access could participate in Observation Event. We should also make android stand alone application for cases when internet is not. Is that true?

  2. Once the Observation event is terminated, can it be started again?

  3. Will consumers be able to analyze data all the time or after all observations have been made?

Thomas suggests: it should be possible to analyse data even if the observations are all performed and perhaps to see evolution of the results.

Bilal suggests: each observation will have a time period. Within and after this, consumer can view.

  1. Only observer will interact with mobile application? What about customers and initiators?

  2. If we make web page for observer as well is it necessary to make location stamp?

ACTION:

Sharon - Collect the questions and make a report to send to Bilal

Bilal – Communicate with client and clarify the questions

  1. Weekly scheduled meeting

CONCLUSION:

We schedule two meetings per week. On Monday meeting, we will talk about what to do on this week. And on Friday meeting, Josip and Bilal will check where we are in the to-do list.

ACTION:

Josip - Make Doodle pool for scheduled meeting on Monday and Friday.

All - Vote on the meeting time and attend weekly meetings on time.

  1. Development methodology

CONCLUSION:

Iterative method or agile is suitable for our project because we have short time, and each module can be updated. As Sandi suggested we should use parallel approach for developing web page. Each developer would work on one module: consumer, observer, initiator and administration.

ACTIONS:

Bilal - Make a decision when make the project plan.

  1. Project Plan

CONCLUSION:

Microsoft project management is only for project manager. It would not be accessible by whole team members. We are searching for server based tool. There are many options:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_project_management_software

We should decide which one to use.

ACTIONS:

Suresh - Go through the previous projects, and send Bilal a rough report regarding project planning and management tool by Saturday night.

Sharon - Help Suresh with the archive documents.

Josip - Send the mail to Igor & Ivana by this Sunday, tell them the presentation be presented from Sweeden side.

Bilal - Explore the project management software options, decide which one to use and make the project plan by Sunday night.

Suresh & Sharon - Make and upload presentation to DSD page before 10:00 next Tuesday, 2010-09-28

- Document and publish the project plan by 2010-10-01

  1. Week Report

CONCLUSION:

The week report will start from next week. The first week summary should be published by 2010-10-04.

ACTIONS:

All – Write week report and send to project leader by 23:59 every Friday.

Bilal – Summarize the week reports, upload to the DSD page by 23:00h every Monday and send it to concerned authorities.

  1. Project Policy

CONCLUSION:

We’ll make our project policy and publish it on DSD web page.

ACTIONS:

Sandi - Make a Google group page about coding conventions

  1. Other

CONCLUSION:

We should update our project roles to the DSD home page.
