Title:
“Reshaping the identity of the city through smart city mission.”

Introduction:
Architecture of Indian cities has a very strong historical background and is multilayered. It has been influenced by extremely varied geographical and environmental conditions across the country. It also has a very strong influence of customs and traditions. The cultural diversity has shaped the cities which evolved over the time across the country. So these layers were the reason to develop a particular architectural style which gave the identity to that city. But the Industrialization and globalization had a huge impact on the architecture across the globe. Globalization opened the walls between the countries and people came to know about the foreign culture and lifestyle. The western architecture started dominating the Indian regional architecture. The rapid growth of urbanization resulted in losing the culture and regional identity of the Indian cities. Modernization led to the gradual disconnection with our roots and identity. Regional Architecture Architecture now
