Introduction
Information Assurance (IA) evolved from the early stage of Computer Security, and a decade later Information Security (INFOSEC). The original McCumber Cube was a widely used INFOSEC Model with 27 areas ([1], [2]) 1. With introducing the 4th dimension (Time) the Integrated IA Model can be described ([3] 2) as the extended cube (Figure 1)

in which the 2nd dimension is Security Services (Availability, Integrity, Authentication, Confidentiality, Non-repudiation) forming the core of the IA Scope (Figure 2), with a formal

IA definition as “information operations that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This includes providing for the restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities”. Intuitively IA is “the process of ensuring that the right people get the right information at the right time” 3, which we will take for the working definition in this documentation.
