MLB EXPERIENCE: Five players on the roster have at one point during their baseball tenure suited up for an MLB team (Luis Montanez, Matt Langwell, Nate Spears, Edwin Maysonet, Carlos Fisher) STRIVE FOR SIX: The Somerset Patriots are the most successful baseball club in Atlantic League history winning League Championships in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009. The Patriots look to win that elusive sixth title in program history this year. DIVISION SHAKE UP: The Patriots and Blue Crabs switched divisions in the offseason. Somerset is now part of the Liberty Division. Southern Maryland is now part of the Freedom Division. 100 WIN PLATEAU ACCOMPLISHED: On May 8th Brett Jodie tallied he 100th career win. He’s the fasted skipper to 100 wins in Atlantic League history. STAFF RETURNS: Shane Spencer and Cory Domel each return for their second year in Bridgewater. In the offseason Jon Hunton received a promotion as he’s now the Director of Player Personnel. Last year Hunton was Assistant Director of Player Personnel SPN.TV: Somerset launched SPN.TV this offseason. The network features nine different shows and 20 live video stream broadcasts.
