The Department of Veterans Affairs, Atlanta VA Medical Center, has a requirement to purchase a benchtop, medium-priced flow cytometer for molecular biology/immunology for research purposes. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources who can meet the salient characteristics below and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 334516. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue this RFQ as a Brand Name or Equal requirement in accordance must include the following specifications:
Salient Characteristic:
-
System must be able to process samples at sample flow rates between 10 µl and 240 µl per minute while providing high sensitivity and adjustable flow rates.
-
System must be able to provide 7 decades of resolution, 24 Bit; 16,777,216 channels resolution and an event collection rate of (30,000 events/sec).
-
System must be able to calibrate sample volume delivery to perform absolute cell counts without a requirement to use expensive bead products.
-
System must be able to provides simultaneous measurement of up to 5 fluorescent channels from the (488nm) Blue laser excitation, 3 fluorescent channels from the (638nm) Red laser, and five fluorescent channels from the (405nm) Violet laser.
-
System must be equipped with software that allow visualization of data acquisition and data analysis modules and includes a license to CytExpert software at no cost that is designed to collect and analyze flow cytometry data.
-
System must be equipped with featured analysis software featuring time saving functions such as “linear gain” and automatically modify compensation following gain setting changes and “auto threshold” function.
-
System must allow software automatically set the threshold based on population scaling in order to easily find target population.
-
Equipped with 3 lasers with 6 detectors.
-
Small foot print to fit comfortably in the limited laboratory space (23”x 40”x 20”).
-
Detect the cell surface molecules but also the intracellular or nuclear events simultaneously.
-
Compatibility with this specific software (FlowJo) is essential.
-
Computer loaded with software.
-
Specific configuration can be modified without the need of manufacturer’s staff dispatch.
-
Allows analyses of extracellular staining of proteins.
-
Allows intracellular protein staining as well as DNA staining.
-
Fully equipped with internal software and the workstation.
-
Optical units integrated into the flow cell.
-
Software with no limitation on a number of downloads
-
Preloaded with all the upgradeable modules.
-
15 parameters on a single sample, up to 13 color fluorescence data channels, plus forward and side scatter.
-
Process samples at sample flow rates between 10 μL and 240 μL per minute providing high sensitivity and adjustable flow
-
Calibrated sample volume delivery to perform absolute cell counts 7 decades of resolution, 24 Bit; 16,777,216 channels resolution and an event collection rate of (30,000 events/sec)
-
Rates, sample sizes as low as 10 μL and a high degree of flexibility in the types of analysis that can be performed.
-
<30 MESF‐FITC, <10 MESF PE.
-
Full configuration (5/3/5) provides simultaneous measurement of up to 5 fluorescent channels from the (488nm) Blue laser excitation, 3 fluorescent channels from the (638nm) Red laser, and five fluorescent channels from the (405nm) Violet laser.
-
All the lasers and detectors come equipped with the machine.
-
Consumables, one each of reagents starter kit.
-
Detection module with solid‐state, high efficiency, low‐noise detectors for a flexible detection system that allows which also minimizes light loss with efficient transmission of emitted light.
-
Versacomp antibody capture beads.
