Born in Athens.
Studies:
2009 Received her BA from the Athens School of Fine Arts. Recommended for scholarships in her 1st 2nd and 3rd year and in the year 2006 she won a scholarship from the National Institute of Scholarships (IKY).
1995 Diploma in Art-work and Painting Conservation from the Petras Institute of Vocational Training.
Professional Experience:
Since 1998, she has been employed full-time at the Hellenic Ministry of Culture (Ancient and Contemporary Monuments Conservation Department, Byzantine and Christian Museum). Today she is currently employed in the National Archaeological Museum as a painter.
She has taught Mosaic Preservation at a Vocational Institute in Kifisia and she has participated in numerous conventions and seminars on preservation and conservation of ancient monuments both in Greece and abroad.
Conventions – Seminars:
2008 Participated in the International Convention on Mosaics Preservation in Palermo (Sicily), organized by the International Council of Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM) and UNESCO’s International Council of Conservation and Restoration of Mosaics (ICCROM).
2007 Participated in a two-day event on “The Archaeological Work of Greek Universities: from the Old Stone Age to Later Antiquity” organised by the Department of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities at the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
2006 Participated in a two-day event on “Anti-seismic Interventions in Monuments and Historic Settlements” – Council of Europe, European Centre for the Prevention and Prediction of Earthquakes.
2006 Participated in an Excavation Seminar on the Preservation and Conservation of Ancient Monuments organized by the Merida Archaeological and Historical Department (sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Culture).
2002 Participated in the International Convention on Mosaics Preservation in Thessaloniki, organized by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture with the participation of the International Council of Conservation of Mosaics (ICCM) and the International Council of Conservation and Restoration of Mosaics (ICCROM) of UNESCO.
