Terminus Legion’s FootGolf Open Championship Raises Funds for Needy Kids

Semi Annual Tournament Benefits “Soccer In The Streets,” joining players of many experience levels

Atlanta, GA – Terminus Legion, the largest soccer supporters club in Georgia, hosted the first semi-annual FootGolf Open Championship Saturday, May 2nd under sunny skies in Sandy Springs. The charity tournament involved 64 players and raised over $500 for Soccer In The Streets.
Terminus Legion gathered players and sponsors at Steel Canyon Golf Course for the event held Saturday afternoon. Players of various levels of skill and experience covered the manicured grounds, kicking their soccer balls towards the holes that cover many of the courses golf fairways. Each of the player’s entry fee contributed, along with the generous sponsors, towards the donation.

“It is an incredibly fun game to play, in beautiful weather, on one of Atlanta’s best foot golf course” said Terminus Legion CMO JR Francis, “and for it all to raise money to bring soccer to underprivileged kids, which makes it feel even better.” Foot golf is easy to play so all skill levels and ages can participate. “It’s really great to see kids, soccer novices, everyone having a great time.”

After the rounds were complete, the players adjourned to Meehan’s Sandy Springs where they were treated to beer and food specials and watched the Atlanta Silverbacks match on the big screen. Awards were given out for several achievements such as “Best Dressed,” “Lowest Score” and “Worst Score.”
The funds were raised to support Soccer In The Streets’ Atlanta Champions League event, a fundraising event in which fans, representing ten of the most illustrious soccer teams, battle it out for the title.
Terminus Legion holds several charity fundraisers each year to go along with their fun game-day events.
