TERMS & CONDITIONS



  • The EduJetter product is valid on 9W tickets issued from 31st March, 2010 till 31st March 2011. Ticketing must be seen within this tenure to avail off excess baggage & Edujetter kit




  • It is valid for travel between India to UK, USA Australia, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong & Canada - for travel originating India.







  • Not valid on JetPrivilege Redemption tickets.




  • All students MUST comply with the redemption clauses slated by the partners on board. This includes Clay, Samsonite, FedEx, ICICI Lombard & ICICI Travel Cards. Jet Airways will not be held responsible or accountable for the Terms & Conditions laid down by the redemption partners seen on board for this activity




  • Edujetter kit will be available only at the local Jet Airways City offices. Collection of the kits can only be done on presentation of the Student Visa & 9w ticket




  • Excess Baggage & the edujetter kit are valid only on Jet Airways documents provided the passenger holds a valid student visa seen on their passport




  • The criteria for Excess Baggage offered to students will be determined by the airline basis the type of visa held by the student traveler




  • With our partner airlines, the Additional/Excess Baggage Allowances are dependent on the sector & the terms & conditions slated between the carriers offering the ticket to the student traveler




  • Jet Airways will not be held responsible if the partner airlines participating in this promotion decline or restrict the excess baggage on their flights.







  • The fare rules for the fare used will determine the refund/reissue process. Edujetter kit & Excess Baggage criteria will depend once again on the fare rules applicable to the set booking seen by the student passenger




  • Excess baggage is only permitted on onward flights with the following partner airlines – American Airlines, Brussels Airlines, British Midland, Virgin Atlantic & Qantas. Refer to the details seen below

  • The above excess baggage allowances as seen in the table will not be mentioned on the ticket for Jet Airways online destinations. But will be allowed at check-in on presenting a valid Student Visa




  • Allowances are valid on 9W-operated flights, on 9W*/S2 operated codeshare connections as well as S2 operated connections




  • Allowances are also valid on the return journey, on presenting a Student visa, provided the outbound journey originated in India and the ticket was sold in India.




  • Excess Baggage across our Jet Airways online destination will not be allowed post the point once the student breaks his journey in travel or switches airport.




  • JetPrivilege Additional baggage allowances may not be clubbed with the EduJetter baggage allowances seen for our online points


2) EXCESS BAGGAGE CRITERIA WHILE TRAVELING BEYOND JET AIRWAYS POINTS WITH ALL OUR PARTNER AIRLINES (OFFLINE FLIGHTS)



  • Excess Baggage allowances will not be allowed on partner airlines if there is a stop over seen or any break in journey




  • Excess Baggage will be allowed to students on partner airlines flights only if there is a continuous journey seen to the final destination.




  • Excess baggage will also not be allowed if switching of airports is seen while flying onward with any of our partner airlines. For eg: Landing in with 9W in Newark & catching onward flight with American Airlines from JFK ---- Not Permitted. Onward flight has to be seen from Newark with American Airlines




  • Excess Baggage amount/details must reflect on the 9W document when flying with a partner airline. That is with American Airlines, Brussels Airlines & Qantas who are under the Edujetter program




  • No other airline partner apart from the three above will offer excess baggage to students booked on a 9w document/ticket




  • Passenger’s responsibility to verify if the excess baggage component is seen on the ticket when flying onward with our partner airlines. Jet Airways will not be accountable if the passenger fails to verify these details on their ticket




  • JetPrivilege Additional baggage allowances may not be clubbed with the EduJetter allowances on partner airlines & routings. Baggage offered will be as seen under the Edujetter program



2.1) CRITERIA WHILE TRAVELING WITH JET AIRWAYS & AMERICAN AIRLINES



  • 9W and AA will allow 1 extra piece of 23kgs for students traveling on one-way /return tickets from India to USA. This is applicable only on 9W fares where 9W is the operating carrier on the transatlantic segment and AA is the operating carrier on the USA domestic sector.




  • The above is applicable if the student tickets are sold from in India & point of origin/travel is India




  • This allowance is also valid on codeshare flights marketed by 9W and operated by AA




  • Excess Baggage will not apply on the DEL-Chicago – Delhi code share flight



  • Connecting flights operated by American Eagle and American connection (Chautauqua) with the American Airlines code are also included as part of the excess baggage offering. E.g. 9W*5123 JFK-RDU and AA*4723 JFK-RDU are both valid connections as they are operated by American Eagle.




  • Eligibility criteria: Applicable only for students against valid student visa/ I-20. Reflection of Excess baggage on ticket for partner airline to acknowledge the same




  • Baggage allowance on the ticket to read '3pc' on the ticket when booked with partner airlines. American Airlines can refuse excess baggage if the excess baggage amount is not reflecting on the ticket. Student visa will also need to be valid along with this criteria



  • Refunds and Reissues: The fare rules for the fare used will determine the refund/reissue process. Edujetter kit & Excess Baggage criteria will depend on the fare rules applicable to the set booking




  • Excess Baggage with American Airlines will only be seen if the onward connection is over New York. Which means the flight to New York out of India has to be seen with 9w



2.2) CRITERIA WHILE TRAVELING WITH JET AIRWAYS & BRUSSELS AIRLINES



  • Jet Airways & Brussels Airlines will allow a total baggage allowance on through one-way/return fares from India to UK/Europe (except Paris CDG) of 50kgs. This means passengers flying to Paris out of India via Brussels will not get the set excess baggage.




  • This is applicable only on 9W fares where 9W is the operating carrier between India and Brussels and SN is the operating carrier between Brussels to EU/UK.




  • Please note this special baggage allowance is also not applicable on BRU-CDG-BRU flights.




  • This allowance is also valid on codeshare flights marketed by 9W and operated by SN (except India-CDG v.v., where the allowance is valid only on 9W-operated flights between India and BRU)




  • Eligibility criteria: Only for Students (with presentation of valid student visa & provided the applicable baggage allowance is mentioned on the ticket)




  • Baggage allowance on the ticket to read '50kgs'.







  • Refunds and Reissues: The fare rules for the fare used will determine the refund/reissue process. Edujetter kit & Excess Baggage criteria will depend on the fare rules applicable to the set booking


2.3) CRITERIA WHILE TRAVELING WITH JET AIRWAYS & QANTAS AIRWAYS



  • 9W and QF will allow a special student baggage allowance on through one-way fares from India to Australia.




  • On 9W-marketed codeshare flights from India to Australia (DEL-SYD/BNE/PER/MEL/ADL & BOM-PER), the total baggage allowance is 45 kgs on one-way journeys.




  • On 9W-QF interline flights from India to Australia; the total baggage allowance is 40 kgs on one-way journeys.




  • QF will honor this special allowance on the QF-operated legs only if the allowance is stated on the ticket.




  • Eligibility criteria: Only for Students (with presentation of valid student visa & provided the applicable baggage allowance is mentioned on the ticket)




  • Baggage allowance on the ticket to read '45kgs' for 9W/9W* codeshare flights DEL-SYD/BNE/PER/MEL/ADL & BOM-PER.




  • Baggage allowance on the ticket to read '40kgs' for 9W/QF interline flights from India to Australia.




  • Mandatory Endorsement on codeshare ticket: STUDENT - FBA 45kgs AGAINST STUDENT VISA




  • Mandatory Endorsement on interline ticket: STUDENT - FBA 40kgs AGAINST STUDENT VISA




  • Codeshare routes: DEL-SYD/BNE/PER/MEL/ADL & BOM-PER (valid only on flights booked on 9W/9W* from India to Australia)




  • Refunds and Reissues: The fare rules for the fare used will determine the refund/reissue process. Edujetter kit & Excess Baggage criteria will depend on the fare rules applicable to the set booking


2.4) CRITERIA WHILE TRAVELING WITH JET AIRWAYS & JETLITE



  • 9W and S2 will allow a special baggage allowance on through/one-way way fares between India and UK, Australia, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong & Canada, for travel originating India.




  • The baggage allowance will be applicable to both interline (S2) as well as codeshare (9W*/S2) connections.




  • The Baggage allowance will be dependent on the remaining participants in the itinerary.




  • If the itinerary includes only 9W connections, then the Free Baggage allowance will be the same as for online points as mentioned in Item 1 above. The allowances will not reflect on the ticket but be honored at check-in.




  • If the itinerary includes eligible AA, SN or QF connections, then the excess baggage allowance will be as per the guidelines for that airline as mentioned in items 2, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 above. The allowances will then be reflected on the ticket.




  • Of the itinerary includes interline/codeshare connecting flights of airlines other than AA/SN/QF, then the FBA will be as per Item 3 below; i.e. valid only on the S2 and 9W operated flights.



  • Refunds and Reissues: The fare rules for the fare used will determine the refund/reissue process. Edujetter kit & Excess Baggage criteria will depend on the fare rules applicable to the set booking


2.5) CRITERIA WHILE TRAVELING WITH JET AIRWAYS BRITISH MIDLAND


  • 9W and BD will allow a total baggage allowance on through one-way/return fares from India to UK/Europe of 50kgs. Ticketing must be done from India & travel must originate from India




  • This is applicable where 9W is the operating carrier between India and Brussels/London and BD is the operating carrier between London/Brussels and EU/UK.




  • Excess baggage will not be offered on Embraer ER4 type operated flights by BD.




  • This allowance is also valid on codeshare flights marketed by 9W and operated by BD




  • Eligibility criteria: Only for Students (with presentation of valid student visa & provided the applicable baggage allowance is mentioned on the ticket)




  • Baggage allowance on the ticket to read '50kgs'. Against a Valid Student Visa




  • Mandatory Endorsement on ticket: STUDENT - FBA 50kgs AGAINST STUDENT VISA




  • 50 kgs must reflect on the ticket for British Midland to acknowledge the excess baggage on their operating flights.



2.6) CRITERIA WHILE TRAVELING WITH JET AIRWAYS & VIRIGIN ATLANTIC
BOOKING & TRAVEL VALIDITY TILL 31st OCTOBER 2010


  • 9W and VS will allow 1 extra piece of 23kgs for students traveling on one-way tickets from India to North America. This is applicable only on 9W fares where 9W is the operating carrier on the India – London segment and VS is the operating carrier on the transatlantic leg




  • This allowance is also valid on codeshare flights marketed by VS and operated by 9W




  • Eligibility criteria: Applicable only for students against valid student visa/ I-20.




  • Baggage allowance on the ticket to read '3pc'. (Refer to Note below)




  • Mandatory Endorsement required on ticket reflecting the excess baggage - STUDENT - FBA 3PC AGAINST STUDENT VISA/I-20




  • Refunds and Reissues: The fare rules for the fare used will determine the refund/reissue process.




  • Edujetter Kit will be extended only on 9W documents. On VS documents only excess baggage will be permitted
