  • Two mobile phones with SIM cards used in drug trafficking seized.

A team of officers of Special Cell led by Insp. Attar Singh, under the supervision of Sandeep Byala, ACP, has busted an interstate narcotic syndicate by arresting two of its members namely, 1) Murad s/o Munna r/o House of Iyaj Tailor, PS Pakharwala, Distt. Rampur, UP aged-30 years and 2) Babu @ Mantri s/o Mohmmed Ahmed Khan r/o Gali Peepal Wala Gher, Rampur, UP aged-30 years and 03 Kgs fine quality heroin has been recovered from the arrested duo. International value of recovered heroin is more than Rs. 12 Crores.

Insp. Attar Singh had received information that members of this syndicate are indulging in drug trafficking activities. ASI Bijender and SI Parveen were tasked to develop it further through human and technical surveillance. The untiring efforts of the team paid off when a specific information was received on 24/06/2014 that an active member of this syndicate would come to Khajuri Chowk roundabout beneath Wazirabad flyover to deliver consignment of heroin to a contact between 02:30 PM to 03:30 PM. Accordingly, a trap was laid near Khajuri Chowk roundabout where Babu @ Mantri was apprehended at about 03:00 PM and 02.5 kgs heroin was recovered from his possession. Case FIR No. 27/14 dated 24/06/2014 u/s 21& 29 NDPS Act PS Special Cell was got registered and further investigation was taken up.


During sustained interrogation, arrested Babu disclosed that he has been indulging in supply of heroin in Delhi from Rampur UP for last two years. He also disclosed that he was working as carrier of heroin as per directions of Murad, another resident of Rampur, UP. He also disclosed that it was Murad, who himself came to Delhi and handed over 2.5kgs heroin to him and directed the same to be delivered to a receiver as per his directions. In pursuance of disclosure made by Babu, Murad was also traced and apprehended at about 08:45 PM near Majar, Bhajanpura Chowk on 24/06/2014 and 500gms heroin was recovered at his instance.
Murad was subjected to thorough interrogation upon which he disclosed that he has been indulging in supplying of drugs in Delhi from Rampur for last three years and also that he used to get supply of heroin from one Arasi @ Nadeem, also a resident of Rampur, UP. A team has been sent to Rampur to locate said Arasi @ Nadeem.


  1. Murad was born in Rampur, UP. He is quite illiterate. His father expired 20-22 years ago. He has two brothers and two sisters. Being the elder one he started plying cycle rickshaw to earn bread and butter for his family. He got married to Naima in the year 2007. He has 3 daughters out of this wedlock. He came into contact with one Arasi @ Nadeem who used to run a saw machine where Murad had also worked as labour. Arasi motivated him into drug supplying. Murad initially worked as carrier but later on he developed his own network and took up as an independent supplier in Delhi after obtaining consignment of drug from Arasi.



  1. Babu @ Mantri was born in Rampur, UP. He also is quite illiterate. His parents expired 15 years ago. He has 5 brothers and 2 sisters. As he was illiterate he took up embroidery work in a small factory at Rampur. He got married to Nida in the year 2010. He came into contact with Murad about two and half years ago. Murad lured him to work as his carrier for transporting heroin. He has been working for Murad as drug carrier for last two years.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.

MOBILE THIEF ARRESTED

With the arrest of one mobile thief, namely Ajay Kumar s/o Mohan Lal r/o B-157, Raghubir Nagar, Delhi west District staff of PS Rajouri Garden has worked out of a theft case registered vide FIR No. 48/14 dt. 14.1.2014 u/s 379 IPC PS Rajouri Garden and recovered one Samsung Mobile.



NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED

Ajay Kumar s/o Mohan Lal age 29 years is a 10th class dropout. He is driving his own vehicle to earn his livelihood. He has solemnized marriage 2 months ago. He fell into bad company and started committing theft to earn more money. He was released from jail in 2013 in a NDPS case of PS Punjabi Bagh.

CASE WORKED OUT

Case FIR No. 48/14 dated 14.1.2014 u/s 379 IPC PS Rajouri Garden, Delhi.



INCIDENT AND OPERATION

In order to curb the incidents of theft, special patrolling teams were organized in the area of police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi consisting of HC Bhupender Singh No. 401/W and Ct. Vivek No. 1496/W under the overall supervision of Inspr. Sunil Kumar, SHO Rajouri Garden, Delhi. They were on patrolling near Mandir Gaonwala Chowk, Tagore Garden, Delhi. On a tip off that one accused Ajay Kumar is involved in theft case. Team laid a trap and accused Ajay Kumar was over powered by the officials. On his personal search a stolen Samsung Mobile phone was recovered from his possession. A case registered at PS Rajouri Garden vide FIR No. 48/14 u/s 379 IPC has been worked out.



INTERROGATION

On his sustained interrogation he confessed to have stolen the said mobile phone from a vehicle parked in front of West Gate Mall on 13.1.2014 after breaking the windowpane of right side, he had stolen two bags from the vehicle in which the said mobile and cash were kept. Further investigation is in process.

THIEF ARRESTED

Anand r/o B-70, J.J. Colony, Jhuggie Inder Puri, Delhi, PS Rajouri Garden, West District worked out a theft case registered vide FIR No. 701/14 dt. 25.6.2014 u/s 379 IPC PS Rajouri Garden.

NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED

Kishore s/o Anand, aged 20 years, in a 5th class dropout. He is working in cardboard factory as a labour. He belongs to very poor family and is unmarried. He fell into bad company and started committing theft to earn more.

INCIDENT AND OPERATION

In order to curb the incidents of theft, special patrolling teams were constituted in the area of police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi consisting of ASI Inder Pal, HC Anil Kumar No. 487/W and Ct. Krishan No. 1839/W under the overall supervision of Inspr. Suneel Kumar, SHO Rajouri Garden, Delhi. They were on patrolling in Kesho Park near Patel Chowk, Rajouri Garden. On suspicion accused Kishore was stopped by the officials. A thorough search was made and stolen items were recovered from his possession. The case registered vide FIR No. 701/14 u/s 379 IPC PS Rajouri Garden has been worked out within hours of the registration of crime.



INTERROGATION

On his sustained interrogation he confessed to have committed theft the said items from a vehicle parked in front of IDBI Bank, M.S. Marg Road on 25.6.2014 after breaking the windowpane. He had stolen bag from the vehicle in which the said clothes, utensils and goggles were kept. Further investigation is in process.

The staff involved in the good work is being rewarded suitably.

  • International module of drug traffickers busted.

  • Two foreign nationals involved in trafficking of heroin arrested.

  • 1 Kg. heroin seized.

  • Price of heroin in international market is worth Rs. 2.50 Crores.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Vivek Pathak and consisting of SI Sunil Jain, HC Mukesh, HC Yogesh, HC Mahesh and Ct. Khetaram under the supervision of ACP Zile Singh and overall supervision of DCP/Crime Bhisham Singh has apprehended two foreign nationals and have busted an International Module involved in trafficking of drugs and have recovered 1 Kg Heroin. The Heroin recovered is worth Rs. 2.50 Crores (approximately) in the International Market.
Information was received by SI Sunil Jain that an Afghan national would come with heroin for supplying it to a Nigerian National after procuring the same from Afghanistan. The information was further developed and on 24/06/2014, specific information was received that, the Afghan National would be coming to Mehrauli Badar Pur Road, Delhi to deliver a consignment of Heroin to a Nigerian national. A trap was laid and two foreign nationals were apprehended. They were identified as (1) Abdul Khalik @ Abdul Malik (aged 55 years) s/o Abdul Mennan r/o Kandhar Afganisthan, presently residing Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar, Delhi and (2) Chidi Berr Nwayota @ James (aged 34 years) s/o Micheal r/o Abuja State Nigeria. Abdul Khalik was apprehended while delivering a consignment of Heroin to Chidi Berr Nwayota @ James. The heroin when weighed was found to be 1 Kg. A case under the appropriate sections of NDPS Act was registered at PS Crime Branch.
The arrested foreign nationals were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that Abdul Khalik @ Abdul Malik is from Kandhar, Afghanistan. He had a electronic shop in Kandhar. Due to insurgency in Kandhar he sufferred losses in the business. He came to India in March 2014 on medical visa for treatment of his eyes and resided in Hauz Rani Malviya Nagar. In the beginning of June 2014, another Afghan National Jumma Khan of Kandhar called him and said that he is sending a consignment of heroin and if he would deliver the heroin to one of his contacts in Delhi, he would get 500 US Dollars. Abdul Khalik received 1 Kg Heroin from another Afghan national. The Heroin had been got concealed in capsules and then ingested by human couriers and brought to India. On 23.06.2014 Jumma Khan called Abdul Khalik and told him to supply 1kg Heroin to a Nigerian national at Mehrauli Badar Pur Road Delhi. On 24.06.2014 Abdul Khalik was caught while delivering this consignment of heroin to Chidi Berr Nwayota @ James.

Interrogation of Chidi Berr Nwayota @ James revealed that he was in the construction business at Abuja, Nigeria. However, he suffered loses. He came to India in February 2013 on a business visa to earn money. He resided at various places in Delhi. Chidi Berr started exporting readymade garments and artificial hair wigs to Nigeria but he suffered huge loss in export of readymade garments and artificial hair wigs as the local shopkeepers of Nigeria did not pay for the goods given to them. Chidi Berr needed money to meet his losses. Chidi Berr contacted one of his friends in Afganistan Jumma Khan and asked him to send heroin for further sending it to Nigeria. Chidi Berr was supposed to pay Rs. 12 Lacs to Jumma Khan for the consignment of 1 Kg Heroin. On 24.06.2014 Chidi Berr Nwayota @ James was apprehended while receiving the consignment of heroin.


Further investigation is in progress.
