– NPR, World Cafe BOSTON (Feb. 22, 2016) – Taped in September 2014 at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, Colorado, AndersonPonty Band – Better Late Than Never showcases the mesmerizing voice of former YES frontman Jon Anderson and the electric sounds of international violin superstar Jean-Luc Ponty. Distributed by American Public Television and airing on public television stations beginning March 1, 2016, the concert features several performances of Ponty’s compositions with words penned by Anderson, including “A for Aria” and “Infinite Mirage,” as well as exciting rearrangements of the YES classics “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” “Time and a Word,” and more. Anderson and Ponty first wanted to collaborate nearly 30 years ago, and finally found the opportunity at this stage in their career. Joining forces in 2014, these two music legends have created an unparalleled mix of electric jazz fusion and progressive rock. “I knew that we had plenty of musical affinities to make it work, but the result is way beyond my expectations,” says Ponty. YES's original singer/songwriter for 35 years, Jon Anderson has had a successful solo career, which includes working with such notable music artists as Vangelis, Kitaro, and Milton Nascimento.
