David Hughes Duke
President, Duke & Associates, Inc.
David is an Emmy Award-winning writer and film-maker specializing in documentary films. He is also a composer and song-writer and sometimes composes original music for his soundtracks.
David also has a specialty in producing inspirational films for fund-raising campaigns. Clients include the Children’s Miracle Network, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Emory University, Morehouse College, 100 Black Men of America, the Salvation Army, the Arthur Blank Foundation, and many others. When Jimmy Carter was honored for winning the Nobel Peace Prize, David created the film that paid tribute to the former president.
David holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in English literature, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors in English. His poems, articles and stories have appeared in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, the Georgia State University Review, Atlanta Magazine, and Catholic Digest.
Memberships include the Dickens Fellowship, the Modern Language Association, the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Rotary Club of Atlanta. David is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Alpha Theta, Blue Key, and Lambda Iota Tau honor societies.
