Have your cake and eat it in sunny Madeira
NORTHERN IRELAND’S leading independent specialist tour operator Travel Solutions has announced the addition of Madeira to its recently launched air division programme.
To help launch the new holidays to the stunning Portuguese island members of the Madeira tourism industry arrived in Belfast this week to meet with local travel agents from throughout Northern Ireland and present what the destination has to offer for holidaymakers of all ages.
The direct flights will operate from Dublin to Funchal in Madeira, giving Northern Ireland holidaymakers the chance to experience a new and exciting holiday destination in 2013 and an alternative to the traditional package holiday market.
According to visiting Madeira representatives Northern Ireland is a key target market for what it describes as a ‘hidden gem’ destination.
Fondly known as the ‘Pearl of the Atlantic’, Madeira offers a varied and rewarding holiday experience with a desirable year-round climate and average temperatures of over 60°F. The island is nestled in the Atlantic Ocean, just north of the Canary Islands and holidaymakers can choose from Travel Solutions’ range of 4-star and 5-star hotels.
The sunny Portuguese island is famed for wine, flowers, landscapes and embroidery and is widely known as a destination that lives for celebration, according to Travel Solutions Managing Director Peter McMinn.
“The all-year-round-summer destination of Madeira hosts numerous carnivals, festivals and events each month so no matter what time you are visiting, the Island is alive with an explosion of fun and colour. It is perfect for young couples and families and is fast becoming a sought after wedding destination too with many young brides choosing the beautiful island setting for their big day,” he said.
“We are delighted to add Madeira to our air division 2013 programme and with the support of Windsor Travel in Madeira, SATA airlines and a host of travel agents throughout NI we can offer a stunning alternative destination with year round sunshine, a wide variety of accommodation options and of course excellent value for money. Madeira really is an exciting addition to our summer air holiday portfolio,” Peter concluded.
Travel Solutions offers adult prices to Madeira, from £499pps and Northern Ireland customers can avail of the free Park & Ride at Bewley's Hotel, Dublin Airport.
