UNDERWATER NATURALIST


Enhance the pleasure of your diving adventures by being able to:
Recognize 100 Atlantic and Caribbean sea creatures

Recognize a variety of hard and soft corals

Understand reef systems and where you can find certain marine life

Safely interact with dolphins, sharks, manta rays, turtles and feed fish

Recognize hazardous marine life

Dive with an ecological awareness that will conserve your favorite sites


Who could benefit from this course?
New divers, experienced divers, Atlantic divers, Caribbean divers, Non-divers / snorkelors, spouses / kids and friends. We’ll end our classroom work with a Virtual Dive (Video) to test your new knowledge and marine life identification skills!
Your Instructor is: Ocean Explorer’s own Underwater Naturalist, Mike David-Wilson, PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer (44179). Mike brings formal education in marine biology, oceanography, marine life observation, identification and interaction and the experience of over 725 logged dives.
Dates: Thursday April 5, 2007 (Caribbean Marine Life) and Thursday April 12, 2007 (Atlantic / NJ Marine Life)
Time: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Where: Ocean Explorers Aquatic Center, 180 Lafayette Avenue, Edison, NJ 08837
Cost Schedule:
Divers: $150 (Cost includes 6 hours of classroom instruction, PIC Certification Card, one fresh water and one salt water dive.)
Costs Not Included: Boat diving fees, Dutch Springs admission fees, rental gear, air and class materials.
Snorkelors and Non-Divers: $125 (Cost includes 6 hours of classroom instruction.)
